Editorial Standards
How we research, write, and correct everything published on TowPermitPath.
Who writes this site
Content is researched and edited by the TowPermitPath Editorial Team and published under that byline. We do not invent author personas, credentials, or job titles, and we do not claim medical, legal, or insurance qualifications we do not hold. TowPermitPath is an independent information publisher: not a towing company, not a repossession agency, not a broker, and not a government agency.
How we source
Framework-level requirements are sourced to the bodies that own them, and we link to those sources directly: FMCSA for motor carrier registration and CDL weight thresholds, UCC Article 9 (as enacted by each state) for repossession, real state programs like the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation for towing licensure, FHWA for Traffic Incident Management training, and the IRS for tax registrations. State-variable facts are handled differently and deliberately: where a requirement genuinely varies by state, county, or city, nonconsent rate caps and signage rules are the classic examples, we name the deciding agency and give you the exact question to ask it, rather than publishing a guessed answer.
What we refuse to publish
- Fabricated reviews, testimonials, ratings, customer counts, or success stories. We are a new publisher; until real customers choose to be quoted, no customer voices appear here.
- Invented statistics or unverifiable market numbers. Pay figures on this site are worked examples labeled as examples, never earnings claims.
- Guaranteed-outcome language. Nobody can promise you contracts, rotation list placement, or income, and we do not.
- State-specific requirements we have not sourced. The deciding agency gets named instead.
Dates and updates
Every article carries its published date, and a visible updated date when it changes materially. The paid Authority Kit is a living document: purchasers keep permanent access to the current version through their original link, and corrections flow to everyone.
Corrections
If anything on this site is wrong, outdated, or misleadingly framed, email team@towpermitpath.com with the page and the issue. Corrections are made on the page itself, with the updated date reflecting the change. Agency names and links change occasionally; reports of dead or redirected links get the same treatment.
Monetization, disclosed
This site is funded one way: the one-time sale of the Tow and Repo Authority Kit. We sell no leads, take no commissions from insurers, training providers, truck dealers, or networks mentioned in our content, and run no sponsored placements. If that ever changes, this page and the affected pages will say so plainly.
